Summary

The Associate Principal, Meetings & Events supports a suite of internal and external events for OCC, each of which is designed to support the company's culture and relationships with valued stakeholders and industry partners. In this role, the Senior Associate supports planning and preparation of all corporate and c-suite meetings, workshops, receptions, retreats, conferences, and other events. This role also supports the execution of stakeholder internal and external engagement strategies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Support

  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of events (virtual, in-person, and hybrid), including managing timelines, logistics, and on-site support.

  • Assist in the development of event concepts, agendas, and content, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and organizational goals

  • Develop strategies to build brand awareness through targeted marketing campaigns, events and execute the appropriate delivery channels

  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure seamless event delivery

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing and communication materials related to events and stakeholder engagement

  • Support the creation of presentations, reports, and marketing materials

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and partners

  • Support the execution of stakeholder engagement strategies, including follow-ups and feedback collection

  • Assist in developing playbooks, reusable assets, and best practices for sponsorships, conferences, and relationships

  • Oversee the conference budget through invoice processing and expenditure tracking.

  • Gather, analyze, and report key metrics that are aligned with conference goals to help inform overall strategy.

  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring all information is accurate and current

  • Support overall strategy by gathering and reporting key metrics

  • Facilitate the day-to-day relationships with external vendors(s) as applicable.

Administrative

  • Track event budgets and expenses, processing invoices and receipts, as necessary

  • Provide administrative support, including calendar management and scheduling meetings

  • Oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of OCC's memberships in industry groups and associations

  • Oversee confidential information with discretion and professionalism

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate with team members within and outside of the department, including external vendors, exchanges and member firms as needed.

  • Effective written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Previous experience managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube) preferred.

  • Proven work experience in digital marketing (securities industry knowledge) preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Strong working knowledge of email marketing platforms and analytical applications (Pardot, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager is highly preferred)

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management systems (CRM) (Kentico, Absorb, Salesforce is preferred).

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field; with a concentration in Marketing, Integrated Marketing or Communications (English preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in a marketing capacity with a strong digital emphasis.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of event coordination experience.

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in business writing and editing.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management and operations.

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range

$86,700.00 - $123,700.00

Incentive Range

8% to 15%

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
