The University of Virginia's Department of Drama is seeking a collaborative, creative, and detail-oriented theatre professional to join our production team as the Assistant Technical Director. This full-time, benefitted position plays a key role in building, supporting, and running productions during the academic year and our professional summer season, the Virginia Theatre Festival. We're a hands-on, team-based department producing a diverse season in three performance spaces. This position includes regular evening and weekend responsibilities and offers the opportunity to grow alongside a flexible team that values artistry, safety, and innovation. As our seasons and projects evolve, so too may the duties and opportunities of this role. Minimum Requirements

Employee will be required to lift various weights, climb ladders and stairs in order to complete jobs. The use of both hands and a repetitive motion will be required while performing duties. The anticipated hiring range is $27.00 - $28.00 hourly ($56,000 - $58,000 annualized), commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
