The UVA Treasury Operations is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Analyst to join our team. This role involves supporting various treasury operations, including Asset Management, Cash Management, and Debt Management. Additionally, the Treasury Analyst will have the opportunity to work on special projects and contribute to other University and Finance initiatives, providing a platform for professional growth and the chance to make a significant impact within the institution. Job Description:
- Analyze the University's daily cash position, ensure all accounts are funded, and cash is optimally deployed.
- Coordinate the transfer of funds within and between Financial Institutions, and timely execution of wire transfers to optimize potential savings.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual cash flow forecasts. This includes providing a cash flow variance analysis that identifies monthly changes and deviations in the cash flow forecast.
- Coordinate the banking needs of all University departments and partner with Financial Institutions to meet those needs.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for cash management throughout the University to provide proper security of assets.
- Manage and maintain Treasury data, reports, and banking records. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports to stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Treasury team to manage and initiate transactions for the Long Term Pool investments.
- Coordinate and analyze financial transactions for the University's Strategic Investment Fund
- Lead or collaborate on other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Two years' experience in a financial role
- Strong understanding of cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity
- Outstanding analytical skills and forward thinking
- Proficient in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
