Salary Rage: Salary expectation based on technical experience: : $121,701 - $125,000 per year. Travel: Up to 5% domestic and international travel In this exciting role you will:
Provide technical support and leadership at the assigned production facility, including formula and process improvements, scale-up of new products and processes, product transfers, material and product quality issues, obsolescence, and technical troubleshooting.
Review formulas and new processes for manufacturing, quality, and safety viability and resolve issues with support from the creator and other stakeholders.
Lead and monitor scale-up and first-time production to ensure the product can be created.
Validate and support product transfers.
Collaboration is required with the production, quality, and planning departments, FC&A and S+T.
Propose and implement process and formula revisions to increase as applicable.
Identify, define, justify, and implement process and formula improvements to affect site performance (quality, cost reduction, yield, safety).
Provide site process engineering support. Identify, justify, and provide scope and process requirements for technical process improvement projects. Link to M&E / regional engineering.
Create and update P&IDs, PFDs, and operational parameters.
Oversee start-up of new equipment/processes.
Perform detailed capacity analysis and apply the DMAIC approach to problem identification and resolution.
Provide operations solutions for formula and process issues such as poor yield, chronic quality issues, excessive processing time, insufficient process controls, high product discard levels, and formula- or process-related safety issues.
Provide solutions for the rework of an out-of-spec product that requires technical intervention.
Handle complex problem resolution involving multiple processes and/or formulas.
Lead site improvement projects such as product transfers, quality improvement projects, yield improvement projects, cost reduction, and capacity improvement projects.
Use Givaudan Production System meta standards and eBPs (Essential Best Practices) for identified gaps in local processes and implement them.
Use enterprise resource planning (ERP - SAP) and Compounding Management System (CMS) systems for data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related discipline and 5 years of experience in process or project work in food production operations.
5 years of experience working with diverse workforces, including technical teams, manufacturing groups and leadership.
5 years of experience with product industrialization, process engineering, complex machinery and material flow, installations and evaluation of equipment in a growth environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of food ingredients and common food industry raw material processing techniques.
Knowledge of accounting, financial, and MRP systems.
Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and GMPs affecting the food industry.
Knowledge of safety and QC functions and requirements.
LEAN Certification.
