Reporting to the Head of Sales - Food, the focus of this role is on the Pet Food palate including flavors, natural colors, and functional ingredients catering to manufacturers globally. You will provide a single point of ownership and set the direction for the Pet Food category in collaboration with business partners. Help to execute our strategy and plans including the route to market, innovation, regulatory, marketing, operations, M&A and communication streams. You will define the value proposition and marketing strategy to better position us in the market in the category.




  • Strategy: Keep overview of all activities in the region related to pet food segment. Monitor market dynamics to identify growth opportunities or threats. Develop knowledge about competitor activities and products, communicate changes, and recommend corrective responses. Be the regional subject matter expert for the category business, portfolios, and technologies.


  • Influence: Define our value proposition. Identify the possible routes to market and establish new contacts. Develop and support execution of the Pet Food product development strategies in collaboration with S&T, Marketing, FC&A and Regional Innovation. Develop execution of supply chain strategies in collaboration with Operations and the commercial teams. Explore partnerships with suppliers, customers, or academia to discover and lead new opportunities and differentiation.


  • Partner: Align activities and efforts with other Sub-Categories, S&T, Regions, Regulatory, Procurement and Operations to maximize impact and ensure profitable growth: Work to identify "big bet" innovation opportunities. Work with the supporting functions of Operations, Regulatory, Finance/Controlling, and Pricing to prepare all relevant enablers to drive business growth in the pet food segment. Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop collateral and promotional material.



You?



  • University degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology. Prefer MBA
  • Expert in the Pet Food market dynamics and product requirements.
  • 5+ years of successful track record the pet food industry.
  • Market Analysis: Experienced in using tools to analyze market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Product Development: Knowledgeable about pet food formulation and industry regulations.
  • Financial Skills: Able to analyze financial reports and creating business cases for new products.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with pet food labeling and safety regulations.

Job Title and Base Salary are partly determined by education and experience and our compensation program guidelines. $130k-$180k per year.
