As the Global Finance Senior Manager - Strategic Analysis, you will play a critical role as a thought partner to senior leaders across Capital Group to drive clarity, influence strategic direction, and deliver insights that shape Capital Group's long-term trajectory.

To thrive in this role, you will lead a high performing team and leverage your management consulting skills to navigate through ambiguity, bring structure to complexity and solve enterprise-level challenges. As a member of the senior management team for Global Finance, you will have broad responsibilities for setting long-term strategic objectives for the department and direct involvement in talent development of associates and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for delivering strategic financial analysis, enterprise-wide initiatives, and decision-support for senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and evaluate opportunities to simplify, scale, and transform how we operate.
  • Translate complex data into compelling narratives that inform strategy, investment prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Drive initiatives aligned with Capital Group's Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP), including cost optimization, operating model evolution, and enterprise transformation.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Strategic Analysis team.
  • Serve as a connector across the enterprise, helping to align business priorities with financial and operational insights.
  • Set the tone in the department to ensure that Capital Group's core values and philosophies are reflected through consistent role modeling.
  • Build a high performing team, including managing, coaching and inspiring associates on the team, develop future leaders, and operate with high quality and efficiency

  • You have 5+ years of experience in management consulting, or 10+ years in corporate strategy or relevant strategic finance role preferably in asset management or financial services.
  • You are an analytical problem-solver with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • You are a proven strategic leader with demonstrated success in driving change and delivering measurable impact through hypothesis-driven problem solving.
  • You are well versed in navigating high degrees of complexity and ambiguity with stakeholders at all levels and can steer through the cross-functional organizational maze to get things done for Capital.
  • You are energized by ambiguity and excel at bringing clarity and direction to complex challenges.
  • You see the big picture, set objectives to align to broader organizational goals, and breakdown objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions.
  • You collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships to enable effective completion of business objectives and influence decision-making.
  • You embody our core values and can motivate and develop a high performing team.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $158,975-$270,258

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
