Purpose and Scope

Under limited supervision, the Finance Lead - NA Commercial performs duties as a strategic business partner and advisor for the North America commercial leadership team and measures the effectiveness of our commercial strategies and investments. This position is a highly visible role within the organization that offers significant responsibility and broad exposure to senior management and many aspects of the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Provide finance partnership and decision support to commercial leadership and several General Managers overseeing key US and Canadian Branded drugs.
  • Oversee and coordinate the monthly forecast process, inclusive of revenue and SG&A. This includes effective collaboration with General Managers to understand the latest market developments, risks, and opportunities compared to the budget.
  • Participate in the Gross to Net (GTN) monthly reporting process that identifies and tracks key GTN metrics to provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Communicate financial information to North America commercial stakeholders and make recommendations for how performance can be improved.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and productivity gains.
  • With assistance from the Accounting Systems team, develop a sustainable and repeatable monthly process to communicate SG&A variances to budget and act as a key business partner with the Brand Marketing teams and GMs to help prioritize investments.
  • Communicate monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reporting and results, including creation of the monthly MMR presentation.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget, LBE forecasts, Long Range Plan, and other forecasting activities as needed.
  • Assist in preparation of price change proposals and other documentation for Tolmar's Pricing Committee
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation modeling (proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must).


  • Proficiency and experience in financial analysis including but not limited to trending analysis, variance to budget, expense tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to quickly develop trust and influence business partners.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work effectively with personnel in various levels of management throughout the company, including executive level personnel.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate expectations, and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times, as this position requires high level of responsibility regarding confidential information.

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Six or more years of financial planning and analysis experience with a Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Biologic manufacturing company required.
  • US Commercial Healthcare experience a plus.


Working Conditions



  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.


Compensation and Benefits



  • Pay: $120,000 to $135,000, depending on experience
