Job Summary

The Senior Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the organization's time and attendance system. The role includes collaborating with HR, payroll, and IT departments to ensure effective management of employee data, timekeeping, scheduling, and other workforce management processes. The Senior Payroll Systems Analyst will need to possess the skills necessary to communicate, navigate, influence and collaborate with both internal team and external plant managers and personnel.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains the time and attendance system, including timekeeping, scheduling, and absence management modules
  • Ensures data integrity by managing user access and security roles
  • Oversees system upgrades, patches, and overall performance optimization
  • Provides ongoing support to HR, payroll, and operations teams for time and attendance related issues
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical and functional issues related to the time and attendance system
  • Coordinated with IT and vendor support teams as necessary to resolve escalated issues
  • Analyzes current workforce management processes and identify opportunities for system or process improvements
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements for new features or functionality.
  • Creates and maintains reports and dashboards to support HR and operational decision-making
  • Provides training to plant managers and personnel on how to effectively use the payroll systems
  • Develops and maintain user guides, process documentation, and best practices
  • Ensures that the system configurations comply with SOX, labor laws, company policies, and other regulatory requirements
  • Conducts periodic audits of employee time and attendance records for accuracy
  • Leads or participates in Payroll-related projects, such as new module implementations or integrations with other systems (e.g., ERP, payroll).
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Configures and maintains timeclocks
  • Supports the Payroll team by monitoring and answering tickets
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee records including compensation details and personal information
  • Audits of SOX compliance and Systems tickets with the payroll systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College
  • 5+ years' experience in Payroll

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APA (American Payroll Association) CPP or FPC Certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel (must be able to conduct data analysis, VLOOKUP's, pivot tables)
  • Strong and effective communication skills with the business, managers, and executive stakeholders
  • Experience using HCM platforms such as Oracle HCM, ADP, and KRONOS.
  • A good track record of commitment to prior employers
