Overview

How you can make a difference

This API Product Manager role is critical to our strategic direction as partner and client interactions shift more and more to scalable and modern technologies. This role will lead our external API roadmap definition and coordinate delivery of APIs internally. This role involves cultivating relationships with our distribution partners to enrich their offerings through APIs as well as using APIs to enhance our offering with 3rd party integrations. This role will also be responsible for overseeing our API developer portal and tools. This role also plays a critical role in enabling our internal implementation and support teams as they onboard and service API clients & partners.

What you'll be doing

    Managing and prioritizing a roadmap of API initiatives
  • Building business cases for API initiatives
  • Gathering requirements and documenting capabilities
  • Coordinating API delivery accross multiple teams and functions
  • Identifying and managing risks
  • Interacting with partners that use our APIs
  • Managing vendors that are integrated into our ecosystem using APIs
  • Ensuring the right KPIs are identified and tracked
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on our API offerings
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need to be successful

  • 4+ years of experience as a product manager (managing an external-facing roadmap)
  • 4+ years of experience as a product owner (directly implementing features with development teams)
  • 4+ years of experience as a business analyst (soliciting requirements and engaging with stakeholders)
  • Experience and familiarity with how to develop and test APIs (including experience with tools such as Postman)
  • Excellent communicator with extensive stakeholder management experience
  • Able to identify and track work to be done, timeframes, risks, and status (experience in project and/or program management, whether formal or informal, is required)
  • Skilled in business intelligence and product success measurement (experience with visualization and other data tools such as DataBricks, Power BI, SQL, etc.)
  • Familiarity with multiple product development tools and frameworks (JTBD, BDD, Pragmatic, etc.)
  • Experience managing backlogs and roadmaps, as well as common tools (Aha, JIRA, ADO, etc.)
  • Experience in the healthcare and/or fintech industries
  • Knowledge of healthcare financial accounts (HSA, HRA, FSA) and insurance products
  • A proven record as a continual learner (relevant certifications are a plus)
  • Able to context switch seamlessly and track/manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A bachelors degree in a relevant discipline

Salary Range

$115,000.00 To $140,000.00/year
