Job Results & Essential Functions
- Adhere to all required cGMP, FDA, and DEA regulations as they pertain to laboratory activities.
- Follow good documentation practices for the accurate and timely documentation of all activities.
- Follow site HSE Policies.
- Log samples and other related items.
- Clean laboratory glassware and other related items.
- Monitors lab supplies and other related items.
- Scan and file documents.
- Support laboratory housekeeping.
- Attend area huddles or shift meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in science related with equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies preferred.
Experience:
Previous work experience in a science related field is preferred.
Skills:
* Perform basic functions of arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
* Perform reading, writing and speaking at a basic level.
* Basic computer skills including Word, Excel and database software.
* Ability to understand and apply cGMP, SOP, and DEA regulations.
* Ability to deal with and solve problems of moderate difficulty.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job:
- Sedentary Work - exert a negligible amount of force continuously and up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. The job involves sitting, walking, and standing, reaching, talking and hearing.
- The job involves the ability to judge distance and space relationships, identify and distinguish colors and bring objects within 20 inches into clear focus.
- Flow of work and character of duties involves focused mental and visual attention much or all of the time.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job:
- Typical laboratory work environment. Exposure to API chemicals, raw materials, and product requires safety precautions and use of lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask/respirator, safety shoes and/or booties as outlined in MSDS. Work hazards include proximity to chemicals and solutions, exposure to dust, odors, cleaning solvents, noise, and vibration. Some elements present that make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office environment.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS:
- The Lab Attendant may be exposed to following list of equipment: Computer, printer, various software, calculator, general office equipment (e.g. copier, fax, etc.), HPLC, GC, FTIR, UPLC, UV-Vis, volumetric glassware, dissolution baths, calipers, disintegration apparatus, analytical balances, hardness tester, friabilator, pH meter, specific gravity meter.
