Job Summary: The Senior FP&A Manager supports global business planning, financial analysis and insights for Cubic. This role involves the support of forecasts, budgets, plan consolidation, variance analysis and inputs to strategic planning. The Manager leads advanced forecasting and analysis as well as contemporary methods of financial modeling. The position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position regularly exercise discretionary and regular decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models in support of forecast accuracy improvement and what if scenario analysis.
  • Oversight and analysis of corporate spend.
  • Support presentations and analysis for internal management, owners, and Board of Directors.
  • Support annual operating plan and muti-year financial strategic planning while implementing best-in-class modern processes, tools and technologies.
  • Develop solutions for insightful business performance analysis, portfolio profitability and actionable insights.
  • Manage the preparation of financial performance reporting, metrics and analysis.
  • Support the reviews of business performance and analyze consolidated operating results.
  • Assist business segments in analyzing pricing, cost structures, and competitiveness.
  • Support ad hoc requests on an as needed basis.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance with at least seven years progressive finance and accounting experience required, preferably in a large organization. An MBA and CPA Certification are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in financial management or similar site finance role.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide data insights, adapt to standardized reporting and develop models to more accurately forecast results.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance, cost efficiency and financial recovery plans.
  • Minimum of five years' experience with general ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau and/or SAP BI.
  • Well-developed project and change management skills.
  • Strong influencing skills, able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to share knowledge, coach and collaborate effectively with individuals and other departments.
  • Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to multitask and ruthlessly prioritize.

Cubic Pay Range:

$125,000.00 - $150,000.00* + benefits.

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
