Description

    Managing and optimizing computer systems and networks
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining operating systems, software applications and hardware components
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer network to include hardware, routers, switches and network configuration
  • Implementing and maintaining security, including firewalls and intrusion detection
  • Developing and implementing network infrastructure, including LANs and WANs
  • Managing and maintaining servers, network devices and related software, including operating systems and applications
  • Identifying, diagnosing and resolving network and system issues while minimizing downtime
  • Working with vendors to license, install, maintain and troubleshoot network equipment and software
  • Working with IT leadership on recommendations for infrastructure improvements, advancements and scalability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT discipline, or other technical discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in a Network Engineer role configuring Cisco switches, routers, and related network hardware
  • Knowledgeable in network security, LAN, and WAN
  • Must be able to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT
  • Certifications:
    • CCNA (Cisco)
    • Security+
    • Network+ (CompTIA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Desired Skills

  • Traditional and virtual networking to include: VXLANs, Distributed switches, VMware NSX-T, VTEP, Virtual network Blueprints
  • 6+ years of experience with the production of communication systems, networks, or technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with the operation, installation, modification, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DoD systems
  • Firepower and Firepower Management Center software knowledge

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITY
