SUMMARY
Join our dynamic Finance team and grow your accounting career in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This entry-level position offers exposure to core general ledger functions and month-end close processes, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals.
The Junior General Ledger Accountant supports the accounting team by performing routine general ledger tasks. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in month-end close, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger system
*
Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities
*
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
*
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data
*
Support internal and external audits with requested documentation
*
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
*
Collaborate with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure data integrity
*
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and reports
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
*

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
*
0-2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a general ledger or government contracting role
*
Basic understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
*
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is a plus
*
Coursework or internship experience in corporate or federal accounting is helpful

Experience using Deltek Costpoint

Prior internship or work experience in a government contracting environment

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions

This position is primarily remote, with work performed from a home office environment. Occasional on-site attendance may be required for meetings, training, audits, or critical deadlines. Standard working hours apply, with potential for extended hours during month-end close or audit cycles. The role is sedentary and requires regular use of a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment, with no travel beyond visiting the headquarters occasionally.
