Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM / VDC Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Building Information Modeling or Virtual Design & Construction for large-scale projects. This role is pivotal in leading our digital project delivery efforts, enhancing coordination, and ensuring the successful implementation of BIM/VDC strategies across all phases of design and construction. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation in the AEC industry.



Responsibilities

    Develop and enforce company-wide BIM/VDC standards, protocols, and execution plans (BEPs).
  • Lead model coordination, clash detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration using tools like Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 ACC.
  • Identify and implement digital workflows that improve project delivery, reduce risk, and enhance collaboration.
  • Provide training, support, and mentorship to project teams on BIM tools, workflows, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and manage BIM/VDC software, plugins, and hardware. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Ensure model accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with project and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650, LOD specifications).
  • Support 4D/5D modeling, construction sequencing, and visual presentations for internal and client use.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries, templates, and standards.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and customers to ensure seamless integration of BIM/VDC into project workflows.
  • Track BIM/VDC performance, adoption, and ROI across projects. Generate reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in BIM/VDC management within the AEC industry
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 / ACC.
  • Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD standards, and model coordination workflows.
  • Experience leading BIM coordination meetings and resolving complex model issues.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (e.g., Dynamo, Python) is a plus.
  • BIM-related certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, CM-BIM) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of collaborative delivery methods (e.g., IPD) and ISO 19650 standards is a plus.
