Overview

We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, innovative, comfortable managing a team with a variety of skillsets, wants to make a positive impact, and is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Marketing Manager will plan, create, and lead the production of marketing, advertising, multimedia, and sales materials that reflect the multicultural communities that we serve. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of business-to-business and business-to-consumer related promotional materials designed to encourage participation in energy efficiency programs.

The position will be based at one of TRC's offices in California, preferably in San Diego.


Responsibilities

In this role, you may work with company management, business development teams, engineering teams, and program development teams to stay informed of new innovations and lead the implementation of relevant marketing initiatives. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of annual program marketing plans
  • Create and oversee the implementation of marketing strategies as outlined in annual marketing plans
  • Plan and develop print and digital content for websites, email newsletters, fact sheets, case studies, social media posts, and blogs
  • Develop and manage print and digital advertising campaigns
  • Track and report on marketing tactics using tools like Google Analytics and email marketing platforms
  • Manage and report on program marketing budgets
  • Manage program websites
  • Develop and present marketing reports
  • Research characteristics of program participants to develop tactics and messaging that resonate with target audiences
  • Mentor and delegate tasks to team members in supporting roles

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing or related field
  • Experience writing content for blogs, newsletters, and social media
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and deliverable timelines
  • Experience with Wordpress or other website content management systems, search engine optimization platforms (Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, etc.) and website analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Experience with email marketing systems such as Constant Contact or MailChimp
  • Skilled in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented management approach
  • Positive attitude
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects
  • Understanding of energy efficiency and/or sustainability preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational, and time management skills.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
