Profile of the dept. or college : Materials Science Engineering The Opportunity: The Brown Lab and Petelski Lab in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Postdoctoral Scholar to lead experimental investigations into how aging alters the tumor microenvironment (TME) and efficacies of immunotherapies in breast cancer. The research will integrate in vivo mouse models and proteomics via mass spectrometry to uncover mechanisms of immune reprogramming and therapeutic response. Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or any related field. * Prior experience working with mouse models, especially with tumor implantation. * Expertise working with protein sample preparation for assays such as Western blots. * Familiarity with data analysis pipelines within R or similar computational language. * Strong writing and oral communication skills. * Excellent analytical thinking and creative troubleshooting skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of LC-MS/MS, particularly for proteomics analyses and especially in tissue-based workflows. * Experience in preparing tissue samples for downstream protein analyses. * Familiarity with R or similar computational language. * Prior experience working with STING agonists, immune checkpoint inhibitors, or related tumor immunology tools.
