Job Overview
The Sr. Manager Financial Control & FI Key User will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the successful implementation of the SAP FI module. This position will work closely with senior finance leadership, the SAP project core team, and various stakeholders to ensure compliant, accurate financial reporting and a smooth transition from Microsoft Great Plains (MS GP) to SAP.This is a hybrid position located in Fraser, MI 4 days per week, and defined term for 18 months.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Act as the primary interface between the General Accounting team and the SAP project core team, ensuring seamless integration of financial processes.
- Oversee data migration from Microsoft Great Plains to SAP, ensuring all financial and analytical requirements are met.
- Provide end-user support for SAP FI-related inquiries and ongoing system enhancements.
- Understand the current month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including project accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance and make sure they are properly implemented in SAP.
- Understand Group reporting (Cognos Controller) and ensure implementation in SAP that matches the requirements of group closing.
- Ensure proper implementation of SAP FI module in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Define, lead, and track training plans for the accounting team to facilitate a smooth transition to SAP.
- Manage SAP proper accesses and support annual SAP Access Recertification processes.
- Collaborate with Shared Service Operations to understand their interactions with SAP and ensure their responsibilities are covered by the local finance team.
- Ad hoc tasks related to financial controlling.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial roles such as Finance Manager or Sr. Financial Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution company for multinational organizations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience with SAP FI module, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting. Including the understanding of integration with other SAP modules like CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).
- Experience in SAP implementation as a key user and project core team member.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- SAP experience/skills meriting. Cognos Controller skills meriting.

- Project management capabilities to oversee SAP implementation timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to train and provide ongoing support to finance teams.

- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
- Trained in Regulatory and Quality Systems and experience in regulated industry requirements.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- May work extended hours during peak business cycles.
The salary range for this position is between $150,000-165,000 per year depending on experience and location.

The base salary for this position is a minimum of $135,920 and a maximum of $203,880
