Role Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Associate to join the Experience Studies and Insights Team as an actuarial data specialist. You'll partner with the larger Experience Studies team as a data owner of our enriched experience and assumption data-building the analytical and reporting processes that turn that data into actionable insights as well as stewarding the databases with needed transformations.

What You'll Do:
* Develop Analytical & Reporting Processes
Design, build, and maintain scripts, dashboards, and ETL-like routines (SQL, Python, BI tools) that draw from our enriched Experience Studies databases to deliver regular and ad-hoc reports.
* Database Ownership & Stewardship
Serve as the data owner:monitor data quality, facilitate enhancements and validate reconciliations through UAT as data evolves in the new database system.
* Ad-Hoc Support & Scalability
Address one-off data requests for regulatory filings, industry studies, or internal analyses, while architecting scalable, repeatable processes that minimize manual processing over time.
* Continuous Improvement & Automation
Identify manual or repetitive tasks and automate them to reduce future workload, leveraging new technologies and best practices.
* Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with actuaries, data engineers, and IT to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions
* Innovation & Research
Stay abreast of emerging data-analysis tools and pilot GenAI experimentations that enhance reporting and analytics within ad-hoc and automated workflows.
What You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or reporting within an actuarial or financial-services setting.
* Strong SQL and Python skills; hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar)
* Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end data processes autonomously-from requirements gathering through delivery and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience working with a variety of stakeholder groups.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
* Familiarity with life insurance and/or annuity products and interpreting their actuarial data.
* Experience with cloud data platforms (Redshift) and version control (e.g., Git).
* Actuarial credentials (ASA/FSA) or progress toward exam completion.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$95,000-$140,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
