Job Description: FP&A Manager, Engineering Operations. Responsible for performing forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes across portfolio of civil engineering projects, including for MTA, PANYNJ, NYCHA, & NYCDDC projects, working directly with senior management leadership. Collect data and prepare forecasts on key civil engineering project and program financial metrics; monitor status of civil engineering projects and programs and analyze potential impacts to operational and financial performance; conduct research and analysis of engineering data and prepare engineering reports to support recommendations for strategy, business / financial planning, and operations; manage and oversee forecasting and long-range financial planning processes for current and future civil engineering projects, including analyzing performance of current and prior engineering projects; develop and maintain complex financial models of engineering projects to support decision-making across the organization and improve engineering project profitability; analyze engineering project financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of engineering project financials with strategic objectives; drive improvements in engineering operations financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy; perform portfolio and database management in ERP and CRM systems; mentor and develop FP&A team members and engineering project managers. Position duties require extensive utilization of specialized software applications, including SQL, DAX, Microsoft Excel, and PowerBi. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, followed by minimum five years of progressive experience in position offered, or in engineering project controls analysis performing financial, economic and qualitative data analysis and reporting for multi-million dollar infrastructure and civil engineering projects for MTA, PANYNJ, NYCHA, & NYCDDC, including strategy, risk and profitability analyses, forecasting, budgeting and costs controls, and portfolio and database management in ERP and CRM systems for engineering projects and programs utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerBi. Up to two years of required experience may be satisfied by a Master's degree in civil engineering with coursework in strategic management and managing engineering and construction processes.
