Your Job

Leaf River Cellulose in New Augusta, Mississippi, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reliability/Vibration Analyst to continue improving our reliability performance. The position will be performing predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment leading to increased uptime and reliability. This position will report to the Mechanical Asset Health Leader.

Our Team

The Leaf River Cellulose Mill is a cellulose plant, north of New Augusta, Mississippi. They produce filter grade pulp and market pulp, which is used in the manufacturing of coffee filters, automotive filters, printing paper, tissue paper, and coated paper.

What You Will Do

  • Embrace the Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
  • Maintain and optimize both online and offline vibration databases.
  • Ensure proper operation of all condition monitoring vibration systems.
  • Handheld data collection and analysis using a multi-channel spectrum analyzer.
  • Troubleshoot machinery problems using various PdM Technologies: Ultra Sonic, Vibration, Infrared Thermography, and Oil Analysis
  • Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electrical and process variables.
  • Share knowledge with technicians for maintaining and troubleshooting various process machines.
  • Collaborate with area Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability, assisting with equipment decisions, related to equipment health, and preventative maintenance.
  • Attend daily morning operation meetings and provide updates on equipment issues found
  • Applying all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, corporate and Original Equipment Manufacturer standards.
  • Improve operational throughput by anticipating and preventing potential events.
  • Participate in failure analysis and perform corrective actions as requested.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of reliability maintenance strategies.
  • Willing to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Category II ISO Vibration Certification
  • 3 Years of vibration analyst experience
  • Experience understanding the mechanical and dynamic behavior of machines and equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing the root causes of vibration problems and recommending corrective actions.
  • Experience with online vibration data collection and analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of different types of machinery and their components (mechanical and electrical)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • CAT III or IV Vibration Certifications
  • Ultrasound monitoring and Thermal Imaging experience.
  • Knowledge in Online/Offline Motor Testing.
  • Machine balancing experience
  • Experience in complex machinery time-wave form signal analysis.
  • Experience with phase analysis
  • Experience with ODS and Modal technologies
  • Experience with a process data historian (i.e. PI, Parcview, etc.)
  • Experience with a CMMS writing work orders, material requests, and contracts
