Join Komatsu and Be Part of Something Big! Job Overview Komatsu Mining in Charleroi, PA (off the Bentleyville exit of Route 70) is looking for a candidate to join our team of drivers! Looking for someone with an active Class A CDL license who can drive a truck with capacity over 80,000 lbs. gross to transport mining equipment and parts to and from specified destinations (ourwarehouses). This is a team position - both drivers are paid mileage when the truck is moving (one drives and one sleeps). Paid downtime (15-20 hours per week).Home every weekend (Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, or Sun/Mon). No loading or unloading freight, just chain/strap and go. All our OTR Drivers make 110K+ along with negotiated competitivebenefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K (8% company contribution), vacation, holiday, and personal days. Position includes a $6,000 sign-on bonus. Key Job Responsibilities The essential functions necessary to complete the work listed in the Job Overview: 1. Climbs into truck and checks shipment to make sure the load is properly secured by any means necessary. 2. Pulltarp across trailer from one sideto the other and secures the tarp 3. Starts and drives a truck with team member (alternately sleeping per required regulatory requirements. Rotations) 4. Provides manifest to warehouse representative at delivery site 5. Completes paper work including miles driven (electronic log process) The secondary functions occasionally necessary to complete the work listed in the Job Overview: 1. Fuels truck 2. Calls national lease firm if vehicle breaks down to arrange repairs or to obtain a replacement truck 3. Chains and binds anything that is deemed heavy and requires this type of securement. 4. Alerts Domestic Supervisor for schedule services needed on any or all equipment. Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent with an active Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a class A rating-required (2 years' OTR experience driving with CDL preferred). OR Non-High School Diploma but having 15-20 years of over the road experience with active commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A/Rating required. Ability to meet all FMCSA/DOT requirements, deliver cargo safely and on time as well as meet the essential functions of the job. Ability to read, write and speak in compound sentences in English. Ability to do basic mathematical operations. Proficient communication.
