This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Operator I, Molding & Tooling Production Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks related to molding tools and equipment, performing quality inspections, and operating automated equipment. You will maintain high production standards and efficiency through technical skills and adherence to procedures. Specifics include:

* Handle manual or operational tasks related to molding tools and equipment with minimal supervision
* Perform quality inspections using gauges and fixtures, and monitor quality statistically to ensure compliance with standards
* Follow work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Documentation Practice requirements
* Handle materials and operate automated equipment
* Resolve minor issues as they arise
* Participate in mold changes and collaborate with various departments
* Troubleshoot medical device molds
* Conduct optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, and changeover
* Operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research
* Adhere to Good Practice regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training
* Meet individual job requirements and contribute to overall compliance
* Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • Work Hours: Work hours: 1st Shift: Sunday - Wednesday: 6:45 AM EST - 4:45 PM EST
