CNC Machinist-Bore and Key

Purpose of Position:

To set up and operate all machines within the cell to produce quality parts. Maintain tolerance, dimensions, concentricity, and surface finishes as specified on drawings and/or the sales order. Inspect work frequently according to sound machining practices and established procedures during and upon completion of machining operations to ensure quality parts. Must be equally experienced with mills and lathes.

Pay Range is $ 24-$28.85/ Hour

**$4000 Sign-on Bonus - Partial pay out at time of hire and remaining paid out throughout first year of employment**

Position Description:

• Read and interpret complex oral, written, and visual instructions for machine set up.
• Set up machines or cells of machines according to instructions or established practice.
• Selection of proper tools, tool holders, holding devices, etc. to ensure proper setup and machine operation.
• Work from drawings, route sheets, specifications etc. to assure proper setup and machine operations.
• Inspect parts according to sound machining practices and established inspection procedures.
• Make minor adjustments to the machine's control and/or tooling setup as required to assure product quality and safe operation of equipment (i.e., extra face pass or turn pass as required).
• Responsible for entering dimensions into Macro's and MUST being able to read G & M code.
• Make checks, adjust tools, and program parameters to maintain proper dimensions, maintain proper coolant and lubrication levels as required.
• Responsible for creating, saving, and establishing a set up sheet. Programs will be stored on the network for future use.
• Report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
• Complete all relevant training provided by Industrial Powertrain Solutions.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly and maintain safe conduct. Upon completion of operation, transfer to the next operation using available material handling equipment.
• Follow and adhere to all 6S policies and guidelines.
• Understand and adhere to all relevant ISO 9001 QOP's and API 671 guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required to maintain a sound operation.

Special Skills:

• Shop Trade Knowledge/Education with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of drawings and blueprints.
• The reading and comprehension of drawings/specifications and/or written instructions.
• The correct reading and recording of Precision Measuring instruments that are required for the job.
• Shop Math
• The required mathematical abilities to perform the necessary functions of the position.
• Knowledge of theory and Practice.

Physical Requirements:

• Strength and Mobility:Must be able to lift, move, and manipulate up to 35 lbs.
• Endurance:Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods.
