Job Title: Project Management Planner

Location(s): White Plains, NY

Project Overview


  • This role supports the PM group to build and manage effectively the management workload database Maximo for approved operational projects. The role is primarily responsible for monitoring PM project resources across the various PM groups and assist their integration at the overall PM group level. The Planner is responsible to provide technical expertise to the PM directors regarding the status of their respective group resources, undertake reviews of the available resources vs. the required at a cost center level, their reporting and the wider impact of resources across the program of projects. This role will work with the workload planning group to set consistent reporting standards and templates and work closely with the PM Directors on a day to day basis and provide updates and improved solutions to improve the cost center performance.


Job Functions & Responsibilities


  • Provide monthly PM resource analysis, including but not limited to current resource variance, resource forecasting, and any expected overallocations.
  • Work with the PM discipline directors to identify resource constraints and ensure they are incorporated into the resource workload.
  • Establish and maintain master resource plan for the yearly PM workload.
  • Onboard any new resource along with related craft and group code in Maximo.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required.


Skills


  • Excellent ability to utilize excel as a detailed analysis tool is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and at a minimum, be able to create pivot tables to manipulate raw data from various other sources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the project planning of project work is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Maximo, Primavera P6, SAP and MS Project is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to distill large sets of data into an easily understandable and communicable format is required.


Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S) in Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in project management or project controls with demonstrated experience in resource planning and management.
  • Significant experience managing projects or conducting analysis is required.
  • Experience at a Utility company working in the area of Maximo systems preferred.
  • Project Management Professional is preferred.
