Patient Transporter

Part-Time, Summer Position

$20/Hour

Provides transportation services for PET, radiation and other departments of the clinic. In addition, provides support for the radiation department in developing custom blocking, linen processing for Radiation and Medical Oncology.

1. Provides transportation services for radiation and medical oncology units.

2. Provides linen services for all floors of the clinic, ordering and stocking.

3. Fabricates custom blocking for electron treatment for radiation.

4. Provides transportation of mail, radiology CDs and other materials.

5. Provides, monitors and assembles most equipment which comes to the clinic.

High school diploma with some college preferred.

Able to be certified in CPR and related BLS functions.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

1. Become trained in basic CPR

2. Understand and use basic computer skills ( Time clock, expense reporting etc)

3. Skills in blood borne pathogens, safety procedures in lifting patients and utilization ob back lifting equipment Working

Conditions:

1. Conditions shall include environmental conditions in internal and external environments. Some weather conditions one might have to work in transporting patients externally to PET

2. Lifting of patients onto stretchers, into wheel chairs and retrieving patients from hospital beds required. This position requires heavy lifting requirements in transporting patients. Use of a patient lifting device essential for the position.
