Anchor is seeking a Staff Architect for our technology operations.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

We're hiring a Staff Architect with deep, practical expertise in Node.js, React.js, and AWS Lambda to lead the design of scalable, performant, and resilient systems. This role will report directly to the CTO and collaborate closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to shape the technical direction of our platform.

You'll lead architectural decisions across our core platform, which integrates ticketing, real-time access control, CRM, and analytics into one unified system. You'll also optimize and evolve our AWS stack to ensure world-class performance and uptime as our customer base grows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Architect and evolve Anchor's core services and UI components using Node.js (backend) and React.js (frontend).
- Drive the design and optimization of serverless architecture with AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and other AWS services.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives across engineering pods and guide design reviews.
- Partner with DevOps to optimize infrastructure cost, latency, and observability.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers in modern architectural patterns and coding practices.
- Contribute hands-on code to mission-critical projects when needed.
