About the Role: We are seeking a Strategic Marketing professional to lead Aerospace and Defense market initiatives in North America. This role involves driving an integrated market plan to strengthen our product roadmaps, targeting initiatives, and go-to-market capabilities. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to identify, define, and deliver market opportunities using assessment tools and dashboards. This position will be located at one of our facilities in Elkton, Maryland or Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Pay and Benefits:



  • $165,000 - $200,000per year
  • Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics.

Responsibilities:



  • Define, refine, and integrate regional market plan with business unit leader, commercial leader, regional sales leader, and market segment leader
  • Collaborate with Regional SaM team (FSA, SAM, etc) and develop integration, cadence, and feedback requirements
  • Conduct regional market assessments aligned to global segment strategy and opportunities to identify, evaluate, and expand derivative, adjacent, and new offering and segments
  • Identify and segment high priority customers and markets
  • Drive LOS growth efforts by coordinating and leading Gate Reviews and capture and growth plan reviews
  • Collect, assess and advocate NPD, PM&A, and business model opportunities for the market in the region
  • Develop engagement plans to enable and lead targeted customer engagements with the right message at the right level to the right person at the right time
  • Develop insights and inputs to influence marcom objectives and collaborate with the regional marcom leader for execution (messaging and brand elevation)
  • Monitor competitive activities and contribute to segment competitive intelligence
  • Develop budget and acquire Tools and Resources. (Gore BCP, Consultants, Subscriptions)

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Aerospace & Defense in product management, business capture, or strategic marketing roles
  • Capability to lean and apply market assessment skills from Market Assessment Essentials and/or the Big Picture Framework
  • Large customer network across Aerospace and Defense industry with an ability to develop and leverage relationships at the executive level
  • Proven ability to assess complex and/or emerging markets and to identify and qualify credible demand opportunities
  • Proven ability to influence, manage performance, and resolve conflicts without authority and across functional and organizational lines
  • Demonstrated ability to actively learn and develop new insights valuable to the business
  • Ability to gain DoD Clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 30%



Desired Qualifications:



  • Military or government acquisition experience
  • Adept at Market Assessment Essentials, Big Picture Framework, or equivalent market assessment tools
