Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop the structure and the process to manage all facets of the interactions/integrations between CC&B and external systems.
  • Track and maintain Edge-system roadmap plans (regardless of their impact on CC&B) as an ongoing team activity. Lead planning and evaluation of application roadmaps with respect to upgrades, vendor product life cycles, and functional enhancements for vendor- and internally-developed applications.
  • Directly manage Edge system participation and alignment with CC&B Project Change Request (PCR) priorities and schedules.
  • Own the Integration Landscape documentation (visual depictions; lists of RICE objects, systems, technologies, and points of contact) to serve as a reference for the rest of the CC&B team.
  • Run regular meetings/calls with Edge system POCs to coordinate activities between CCB and Edge teams (PCR readiness, Special Project initiatives, etc.).
  • Track Edge system coordination with recurring non-Production CCB environment refresh activities (monthly).
  • Coordinate financial and timeline planning for Edge system initiatives needing CC&B resources (ensure chargeback cashflow is established, server as POC PM for said projects).
  • Work with the business to strategically align IT projects and initiatives with the business area goals.
  • Take the lead on issues requiring coordination with all internal IT groups and other organizations, including vendors to ensure that issues are addressed, and provides direction to team members as required for resolution.
  • Develops effective business relationships and manages and maintains open and effective communications with all stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor resources to deliver high quality deliverables according to agreed upon timeframes and costs.
  • Ensure alignment of technology solutions with IT standards, documentation requirements and guiding principles. Ensure supportability, scalability, maintainability, reliability, data security, cost efficiency and alignment across IT domains including IT Systems Delivery and IT Engineering & Operations.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, computer science, business administration, engineering or decision sciences including mathematics, analytics, quantitative methods. and a minimum of 8 years experience designing, developing, implementing, and operating technologies in one or more IT domains, e.g. applications, data, solution, infrastructure, process change management. or
  • Master's Degree in IT, computer science, business administration, engineering or decision sciences including mathematics, analytics, quantitative methods. and a minimum of 6 years experience designing, developing, implementing, and operating technologies in one or more IT domains, e.g. applications, data, solution, infrastructure, process change management.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree preferably in IT, computer science, business administration, engineering or decision sciences including mathematics, analytics, quantitative methods. and a minimum of 8 years experience designing, developing, implementing, and operating technologies in one or more IT domains, e.g. applications, data, solution, infrastructure, process change management.
Relevant Work Experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years leadership or managerial experience, required.
  • Must have a solid understanding of architectural concepts and practices leading to solutions that are reliable, maintainable, reusable, scalable and extensible, e.g. service-oriented architectures, required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication including creating PowerPoint presentations. Must be comfortable and skilled at selling new processes and techniques. Must be able to communicate designs and give persuasive presentations. Must be able to interact with all levels of management and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate that they have strong emotional intelligence (empathy, self-knowledge). Candidates must demonstrate ability to persuade and collaborate through influencing, listening, acting on feedback, balanced exploration of alternatives and building relationships. Candidates must be agile learners and demonstrate continuous self-development. Candidates should demonstrate high energy and a passion for customers, required.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity - demonstrate confidence when making difficult decisions, leading through adversity with a focus on the right business outcome, required.
  • Experience with writing or modifying standards and procedures, templates or toolkits. Experience working with peers to develop new reference architectures, tools, methods to be adopted by the IT organization, required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage expectations and conflicts effectively and not get overwhelmed by pressures on team.
  • Ability to motivate, challenge and develop staff, required.
  • Must be flexible and able to work off-hours as required to support deployments, resolve production problems or respond to corporate emergencies, required.
  • Manage projects including but not limited to resources, scope, budget (costs), schedule & overall project plans, required.
  • Experience identifying and vetting vendor products preferred, including developing requests for proposal, vendor research and proposal evaluation. Experience preferred in planning for vendor technology upgrades or obsolescence management, preferred.
  • Experience participating on multi-disciplinary review boards a plus, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
