The Department of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics seeks a Lab Specialist for the Tsai Lab. Lab specialist will work with the PI to develop AI-facilitated virtual drug screen and design to identify small-molecule compounds that target mitochondrial calcium transport proteins. He/she will be responsible to validate these compounds using biophysical and biochemical assays, and will work with medicinal chemistry labs to improve pharmacological properties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: 3 years of experience. 6 years of lab-related experience accepted in lieu of degree. Licensure: None. The position will remain open until filled. This is a non-exempt level, benefitted position. The University will perform background checks on all new hires prior to employment.
