Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Develop and drive strategic short- and long-term vision and strategy for the NAM Retail Construction and Maintenance team that ensures the concept planning and building execution of all types of brick-and-mortar locations. Ensure the elements comprising the Company's mission and core values are consistently communicated throughout every project. This position will ensure consistent execution of all Company processes, initiatives, and programs while maintaining flexibility to respond to future business needs and directives. Most importantly, this position is responsible for ensuring a consistent and rewarding shopping experience for the Company's retail customers through developing and building premium stores.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for the strategic vision and execution of the Construction and Maintenance for the adidas NAM retail fleet.
  • Maintain a strategic preach to execution and consistently communicate vertically and cross functionally to ensure alignment of internal priorities and resources are allocated appropriately to achieve desired results.
  • Partner with Construction Vendors to plan projects, create budgets, establish project timelines and milestones, and obtain the specific resources needed to successfully complete the scope of work.
  • Monitor all maintenance and construction projects with team and vendors.
  • Communicate with internal customers on a regular basis to ensure that there is a clear understanding of project progress and milestones.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and construction activities conform to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time and ideally below budget.
  • Anticipate and/or identify project issues and opportunities to proactively drive resolution.
  • Partner with Finance on an annual, quarterly, and monthly budget/forecast process.
  • Partner with HR to build the necessary skill set for the team to perform at the highest level and retain top talent.
  • Manage the monthly budget review process for individual construction projects and reporting back to Sr. Leadership team.
  • Review and approve schematic, design development, construction documents drawings, bid spreadsheets and change orders during construction.
  • Ensure building interiors and exteriors are delivered 100% accurate, on-time and the project are closed according to company guidelines.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the adidas brand values/mission and leads their team and business in accordance with the values/mission.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture in which talent development is highly prioritized, talent and succession plans are clearly identified and communicated.

  • Extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of retail concepts and terminology.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and in some cases with limited notice.



Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:




  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working for a sporting goods and fashion retailer with a primary emphasis/responsibility of a full price business preferred.
