POSITION SCOPE

The Shop Assistant will be responsible for general laborer duties and will be performing service work on company vehicles, washing and detailing of company vehicles, grounds keeping and other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks
• Assist with shop loading
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• general maintenance/service work on conveyors and crushing equipment
• Stock raw materials in appropriate quantities
• Clean and maintain equipment as directed
• Organization duties
• Provide assistance to project managers, shop supervisors, and the quality inspection team as needed
• Operate equipment such as band saw, cut off saw, belt sander, drill press, disc grinder, punch press
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, height gages, and micrometers
• Perform other duties assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must possess a valid CDL or the ability to obtain one
• Welding experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Some travel may be required
