Job Title: Service Desk Technician (Temporary - Potential to Hire) Location: Harrison, NY Start Date: Late August Overview: Our client is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Service Desk Technician to support our surge in technology support needs during the start of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, supporting the technologies that power over 40 school districts across the region. Key Responsibilities: * Answer a high volume of incoming calls to the service desk * Accurately escalate tickets to appropriate analysts and field support staff * Maintain calm and efficiency in high-pressure environments * Deliver outstanding customer service via phone and remote channels * Perform basic IT troubleshooting (password resets, remote support, etc.) * Communicate clearly with end users, internal teams, and technical staff Required Skills & Experience: * Prior experience working in a high-volume call center or service desk environment * Proven ability to perform under pressure and stay organized * Strong phone presence and customer service instincts * Familiarity with IT troubleshooting in a support setting Preferred Skills: * Experience with remote support tools * Knowledge of password reset protocols and basic IT administration What We Offer: * Opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale infrastructure and service operations * Contract-to-hire path with access to incredible benefits upon full-time conversion: Work Environment: * Join a collaborative team of 10-15 service desk professionals * Be part of a mission-driven organization supporting local schools and educators * Help reduce ticket volume and improve response times during a peak season Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
