Position Purpose
The Loan Closing Manager is primarily responsible for managing the closing process and staff responsible for closing of commercial, including SBA, and consumer loans either through close coordination with outside counsel or by preparing internal Laserpro or Encompass loan documents and Word templates.



Position Responsibilities

  • Management and reporting of closing pipelines on a regular cadence to production teams and leadership.
  • Strategize with loan operations team on improvements to promote a more efficient process and reduce closing times.
  • Review loan documentation for loan closing staff as required and provide feedback and training to department employees
  • Preparation of staff performance reviews and regular coaching to assist employees with meeting goals
  • Review and comprehend loan approval packages for commercial and consumer loans; verify completeness, accuracy and conformance with bank polices and department procedures.
  • Collect and verify due diligence documents from third parties to confirm they are received and accurate.
  • Manage competing priorities and coordinate multiple requests to meet closing deadlines.
  • Prepare new and renewal loan documents using LaserPro, Encompass or bank templates for consumer Home Equity Lines of Credit, mortgages and commercial loans, including commercial real estate, construction and SBA deals.
  • Review attorney prepared loan documents for accuracy to conform to loan approvals and meet Bank closing requirements.
  • Interact with loan officers, attorneys and bank personnel to coordinate loan document preparation, closing and funding.
  • Conduct pre-closing review to ensure internally or externally prepared loan documents comply with approval and Bank policy and that pre-closing conditions are met.
  • Fund loans in accordance with the executed closing package.
  • Image documentation to the Bank's electronic loan file.
  • Collect trailing documents for submission to exception processing.
  • Meet with production teams on a regular basis to promote a team atmosphere to promote consistency with closing processes and to assist with pipeline management.
  • Conduct post-closing review of loan files to confirm compliance with closing conditions and completeness of package.
  • Complete checklists and internal control documents to maintain data integrity and loan input quality.
  • Comply with all federal and state rules and regulations that affect this job position and perform the required ongoing training for those regulations as directed by the Compliance Officer.
  • Participate in special projects and other job duties as assigned.



Minimum Education & Experience



  • 7+ years experience in a commercial loan documentation or servicing role.
  • Knowledge of lending and banking policies, procedures, and regulations.


Technical Knowledge and Skills



  • Microsoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc); excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise with the meaning and purpose of various commercial and consumer loan documents.
  • Prefer working knowledge of LaserPro, Encompass, Fiserv Director and Navigator, Abrigo
  • Firm understanding of consumer real estate regulations such as Reg Z, TRID and Flood.



Working Arrangements



  • This is a hybrid role expected to work in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. You will be able to work remotely on Wednesday.



Compensation



  • Base Salary Range: Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
