Title: E&S Underwriter Internship

Position Functions and Overview:

Assist the E&S Underwriting Team in all aspects of account management including Account prep and setup, Risk analysis, Natural Catastrophe modeling and assessment, assessing engineering reports to determine exposure quality and risk assessment. Utilize policy issuance system for generating and revising quotes, generating binders and policy issuance. Practice post binding functions such as mid-term endorsement analysis and issuance. Effectively communicating throughout the entire process with various internal and external shareholders including brokers, engineers and administrative personnel to complete job functions. Training and job shadowing of the E&S Underwriting function, process and strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

• • Rising college sophomore, junior, or senior, graduating no earlier than December 2024
  • Strong interested in learning more about the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry and the many opportunities available.
  • Able to commit to the full training and internship schedule to maximize the benefits of this unique experience.
  • Logical, Practical and Analytical thinker.
