Program Manager - Finance Transformation

Summary

The Program Manager will lead a high-impact, large-scale project aimed at transforming and optimizing the finance organization, which will involve partnering with a specialized BPO to outsource specific functions.

This strategic initiative is key to optimizing financial processes and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of service delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive, hands-on experience managing similar projects within large, complex organizations and possess strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end transformation of the finance organization, including the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of the program.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, finance teams, operations, IT, and external strategic partners to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, including resource allocation, timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and budget management.
  • Ensure seamless integration of optimized processes, maintaining business continuity throughout the transition.
  • Drive strategic alignment with the external partner, ensuring the successful implementation of best practices and innovative solutions that support the organization's transformation goals.
  • Monitor and report on program performance, including vendor performance, against predefined KPIs, SLAs, and overall financial savings goals.
  • Lead change management efforts to align stakeholders, minimize resistance, and foster adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the external partner, fostering a strong, collaborative relationship to drive program success.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution to avoid delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements throughout the outsourcing process.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management with a focus on large-scale business process outsourcing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing strategic business processes with external partners, particularly in global, Fortune 100 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations, business process outsourcing, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Change management experience, with a focus on driving successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, anticipate challenges, and implement effective solutions.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy in all aspects of program execution.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, etc.).
