Job Summary:

As a Lab Technician, you will perform field and laboratory duties applicable to Power Supply operation. Specifically, you'll have the opportunity to:

* Collect, prepare, test, document, analyze and report various samples to conform with all local, state, and federal agency sampling requirements including but not limited to drinking water, wastewater, process water, coal, coal combustion by-products and limestone/lime.

* Monitor, document, analyze and report chemical treatment programs including but not limited to boiler water, flue gas desulfurization, ammonia and cooling water.

* Operate, calibrate, maintain and document the use of automated sampling equipment, continuous monitoring equipment and various other field equipment; additionally, maintains maintenance and calibration records.

* Discuss test results and analyses with customers as required.

* Prepare and present reports, charts and graphs as required utilizing various software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.

* Develop testing and/or training procedures as required.

* Monitor and report status of various plant conditions and processes

* Evaluate and identify related process improvement opportunities on various plant processes as required.
