Facilities Management (FM) is offering an excellent opportunity for a 2nd shift Master Maintenance Technician to support the department's goal of providing consistent, cost-effective, and reliable service in the University academic maintenance Zones. This role involves maintaining both historic and modern facilities, including Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village, which features the Rotunda, Pavilions, Lawn & Range Student Rooms, as well as contemporary classroom buildings. Master Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service across a broad range of building systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, access control and life safety systems. This position serves as a technical leader, front line responder and mentor to junior technicians, ensuring quality service and operational efficiency across academic maintenance facilities. Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,100 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure, and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties. Note: the scheduled shift for this position is M-F 3:30pm - 12-midnight. Duties include:

Anticipated Compensation: $36 - $40 per hour ($74,880 - $83,200 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for additional shift differential pay of $2 per hour. This is a full-time position with UVA benefits. Employee benefits package highlights include:

Physical Demands: Employee must be able to variously sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, lift, pull, and use both hands-on repetitive tasks (including overhead tasks).
