The Department of Human Services at the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks highly qualified applicants for a part time 12-month position as Clinical Supervisor in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). Responsibilities: The incumbent will work on the Speech and Language Services team in the Sheila C. Johnson Center for Clinical Services (SJC), an outpatient clinic training center that serves the Charlotteville area. Specifically, the incumbent will provide diagnostic services and clinical supervision within the CARE clinic, a leading-edge autism spectrum and related developmental disorders diagnostic team. The CARE clinic brings together clinical psychologists, developmental pediatricians, speech language pathologists, post-doctoral specialists, and family navigation specialists to provide a truly trans-disciplinary multi-tiered diagnostic service. The incumbent will perform and supervise performance on all aspects of speech and language evaluation processes and will collaborate across disciplines to synthesize assessment outcomes for diagnostically complex child cases. They will provide clinical supervision and education to graduate student clinicians in the Masters Program in Speech-Language Pathology, while serving as the clinician of record for direct evaluation services to CARE clinic clients. The CARE clinic assembles, schedules and provides services to team clients on Wednesdays, which is the required availability for this position. The anticipated commitment is 6 - 9 hours weekly. This is a wage position which is not eligible for leave or other benefits and is limited to 1500 hours of work in a year.
