Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is passionate about providing exceptional health care to all, especially underserved communities with limited health care options. Founded by a Latina grandmother/community advocate over 50 years ago in Barrio Logan, FHCSD has grown into one of the largest community health systems in the country. We are currently seeking a mission oriented professional to join our team as the Manager of Training and Development. The incumbent will report to the Director of Human Resources and work closely with our leadership team to ensure all training programs align with FHCSD's mission and organizational strategic plan. This position is responsible for the delivery of all employee training programs as well as designing new initiatives for areas of learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to grow and develop talent for FHCSD
  • Identifies talent development and training needs of the organization
  • Partner with internal managers to create and maintains an ongoing training plan
  • Determine potential training challenges and through analysis and logical reasoning, implements solutions by considering costs, benefits and outcomes
  • Ensure FHCSD compliance training is completed in accordance with federal, state, local and organizational guidelines
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure training plans and programs
  • Measure training plans and programs for effectiveness and return on investment. Adjust and/or remedy gaps by applying appropriate resources
  • Evaluate data to identify insights into the effectiveness of training in relation to business goals and make changes as needed
  • Ensure that FHCSD teams have the learning and development tools they need to successfully deliver on key organizational objectives
  • Act as a learning and talent development strategic advisor
  • Design and deploys effective New Hire Orientations and Leadership Development workshops in partnership with stakeholders
  • Fortify and builds upon culture foundation to ensure alignment with our mission and values in everything we do with training and communications
  • Support the building of structures, policies and workflows to ensure that onboarding and role transitions are performed in a highly effective and professional manner
  • Assess needs and develops interventions to support staff well-being and address training and development needs related to productivity, stress, professional fulfillment, diversity, and inclusion
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Credentials and License Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development. or related field required
  • Master's degree in human resources or organizational development preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred
  • Instructional & Learning Design Certificate preferred
  • Traveling between sites and other locations is occasionally required. Must have a valid California driver's license, an automobile, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required. California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver's license within ten days of establishing residency. Required Professional Experience

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in employee and leadership development, training, healthcare or non-profit background environment or equivalent to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to handle all aspects of the position
  • 3 years of project management in professional administrative settings
  • 2 years of data collection and report generation experience
  • 2 yr facilitate group discussions, conduct classroom learning sessions, seminars and workshops
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe and/or ability to utilize multiple moderately complex computer software programs daily required
  • Previous experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits.

81,336.00 - 121,896.00

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
