Precise Systems seeks qualified candidates to serve our TEAM SUB customer in a Program Office Cyber Protection Lead role.

Duties:



  • The Program Office Protection Program Lead (POPL) position reports to the Cybersecurity SIT Lead.
  • Lead the development and execution of the Program Protection Plan (PPP) to safeguard Critical Program Information (CPI), mission-critical functions, and system components.
  • Integrate cybersecurity, anti-tamper, and supply chain risk management (SCRM) strategies into system design, development, and sustainment.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and cybersecurity teams to embed protection measures into acquisition documentation and technical reviews Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR).
  • Support software assurance efforts to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with counterintelligence teams to address foreign threats, insider risks, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and manage a program protection risk register; develop mitigation plans and communicate risks to leadership.
  • Review and assess contractor protection plans, cybersecurity strategies, and anti-tamper documentation for compliance and completeness.
  • Prepare protection-related documentation for acquisition milestone events (e.g., Milestone B, C, Full Rate Production).
  • Serve as a key liaison to NAVSEA and other stakeholders for all program protection and system security efforts.


Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.


Required Experience:



  • Minimum of Fifteen 15 years' relevant experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in an Information Assurance (IA) or Certification & Accreditation related field.
  • Familiarity with Navy and/or Industry Standard Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Technical expertise in cybersecurity engineering as it relates to design, deployment, integration, testing and implementation on/for Navy systems.


Desired Experience:



  • Bachelor's level degree in Computer Science or in a technical field.
  • Qualification as a Level III Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) as defined by DoD Instruction 8510.01 - Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in an Information Assurance (IA) or Certification & Accreditation related field.
  • Familiarity with Navy and/or Industry Standard Cybersecurity requirements.
  • Prior Program Protection experience supporting DoD acquisition programs.
  • Previous experience supporting submarine programs or undersea warfare platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing or managing PPP's in accordance with DoD and Navy acquisition policy.
  • Strong understanding of Navy and DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, and acquisition process.
  • Technical expertise in cybersecurity engineering as it relates to design, deployment, integration, testing and implementation on/for Navy systems.


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $77,571.36 to $116,357.04 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
