GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision, the patient registration student will have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced professionals, gaining exposure to the hospital environment and developing essential patient access skills. The student will also learn valuable interpersonal and communication skills that are critical for success in a healthcare setting. This experience is designed to prepare the student for a career as a patient registration representative by providing hands-on training and insight into hospital registration procedures. The ultimate goal is to expose students to the hospital registration setting and support their growth into competent, compassionate healthcare professionals. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program. Highly motivated and organized. Required the manual dexterity to operate complex equipment. PREFERRED SKILLS: Excellent spoken and written communication skills Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
