HR Generalist, Full-Time, Orlando, FL

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides general HR support for the Crayola Experience (CE), including: staffing and recruiting; performance management/rewards and recognition; policy development, communication, and interpretation; employee development and training; positive employee relations and coaching.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for full-cycle high volume recruiting for CE entry level/seasonal positions. Schedules and conducts interviews of entry level CE positions. Works with the Talent Acquisition team to establish and maintain contacts with sources of employment.
  • Manages job fairs, including public notifications, organization, administration of applications and applicant processing.
  • Provides recommendations and counsels CE managers on appropriate levels of performance management, and coaching techniques.
  • Reviews employee complaints and ensures accurate and timely investigation and documentation of concerns or issues. Facilitates actions to resolve the employees' issues and escalates them to appropriate management team.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of personnel needs, turnover, absenteeism, recall lists for seasonal college staff, and other personnel statistics as directed including HRIS requirements.
  • Enters and maintains employee data in HRIS system for assigned location, including but not limited to new hire, job changes, and termination processing.
  • Conducts orientation and Welcome Crayolian program for new CE employees and conducts exit meetings with employees.
  • Supervises CE job postings, verifies successful candidates, provides notifications on new hire information to Corporate Human Resources, and conducts necessary follow-up.
  • Assists in the preparation of personnel policy manuals, interpretation of such policies, and administration of policies in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Coordinates development and administration of programs for effective employee engagement (newsletters, bulletin boards, posters, E-update) by maintaining environment that improves attitudes, morale and participation.
  • Assists with other CE locations when HR coverage is needed and works closely with other CE locations in streamlining HR processes and onboarding and training and development needs.
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with Workers' Compensation laws and safety regulations to promote a healthful environment for all personnel.
  • Participates in the Manager On Duty rotation. While on duty, assumes management responsibility across all department in the facility
  • Crayola Experience Easton HR Generalist may also assist in corporate investigations and coverage for manufacturing support.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years professional experience. HR degree/related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in recruiting/human resources.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and HRIS system (UKG) preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with internal and external business partners.
  • Strong customer service orientation; high energy level.
  • Required to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of government regulations and compliance needs at a federal, state and local level.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial legal regulations.
  • Employee benefits experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide cross section of individuals.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Internet.
