About the role
The Accountant/Assistant Controller position is a high-profile role within the company. This individual will coordinate with other company managers and owners to maintain company accounts and finances.
This salaried position is a full-time position with no regular travel and the ability to work remotely 1-2 days per week in a very employee friendly flexible work environment.
Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for:
- Consistently and diligently managing routine data processes (e.g. sales / AR/ cash receipts; purchases / AP / cash disbursements; and payroll)
- Monitoring and reconciling all key balance sheet accounts (cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, WIP, and customer deposits) on a monthly basis
- Preparing, distributing, and reviewing key financial reports with senior management including: income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow
- Collaborating with stakeholders at ways of improving transactional / operational flow, efficiency, and accuracy including implementing automated systems
- Helping manage the annual budget process
- Monitoring manufacturing costs, reporting on variances against standards and work with management on discrepancies.
- Providing key reports to senior management for the efficient management of working capital
- Help manage cash flow projection process (e.g. 13-week cash flow forecast)
- Analyzing operational spending for each against established benchmark budgets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in accounting from an accredited institution
- Prior experience working experience with capital equipment, aftermarket services, job-cost accounting, and backlog-type businesses
- Experience and proficiency using ERP Systems.
- The company uses Deltek Costpoint ERP System
- Expert working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills
