Day Shift Wrapper Operator

Job Summary:

Bongards' Creameries is seeking a Slice Line Wrapper Operator based out of our Humboldt facility. The wrapper operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting sliced cheese wrapping machines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understands and follows set protocols for PPE and Cleanliness (Handwashing, Uniform, etc)
• Operation of assigned wrapper machine
• Monitor cheese entering machine, film wrap process and wrapped cheese product
• Produce quality wrapped packages (film, label, seal edges)
• Place excess cheese in rework containers
• Assist maintenance with troubleshooting
• Assist with Cleaning and Sanitizing of machines and other areas after production is finished
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized
• Work in a safe, efficient manner in a fast paced environment
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent Math and Reading skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

• Ability to work independently on assigned duties
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Adaptable to sudden changes
• Work as part of a team
• Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Schedule:

• Day Shift 5:45am to 6:00pm Monday - Friday
