Reporting to the Sr. Manager Terminals/Warehouses.
What you will do:
- Responsible for safe and reliable operations of the Nutrien Distribution terminal including operation of mobile equipment, moving of railcars, loading / unloading of railcars, unloading vessels and handling and storage of fertilizer products.
- Responsible for direct supervision over the three Nutrien terminal employees including daily communications, problem solving, and operations.
- Responsible for providing leadership to the terminal employees in the areas of morale, continuous improvement, mental health, responsibility, safety, and staff development.
- Responsible for operations and maintenance of the terminal, following the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures and all life-critical components are in place and fully understood by site employees.
- Responsible for ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met at the terminal including stewarding to local and regulatory safety and process standards / regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring operations and maintenance of the terminal follows the Process Safety Management/RMP process. Verify equipment is designed, maintained, changed, operated, and decommissioned in a responsible manner that complies with industry-recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEPs).
- Responsible for the cost-effective operation and maintenance of the terminal. Develop and review stewardship reports monthly and let upper management know of any increases/decreases.
- Responsible for coordinating with commercial teams and production facilities to ensure timely and effective supply and customer service.
- Responsible for continuously implementing improvements in equipment, processes, procedures, and safety that have a positive impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of the terminals.
- Responsible for developing and updating 5-year terminal capital plan on specific terminal capital project needs for the terminal.
- Responsible for afterhours service, security, and emergency preparedness for the terminal.
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Post-Secondary education an asset.
- Proven supervisory skills with at least 5 years' experience or equivalent.
- Experience with robust safety, process safety management, and risk management plan programs preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Ability to work in a Safety First, drug free work environment - required to pass the Drug & Alcohol Testing.
- Respect for individual diversity and eagerness to collaborate, assist, and approach challenges with a determined attitude to succeed together.
- Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills that can be applied to equipment systems and program development/improvement opportunities.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team context with excellent time management and organization skills.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Be flexible, adapt easily to change, and take the initiative when situations warrant immediate resolution.
- As a team player you will be expected to work with senior management, your peers, and staff, as well as contractors, visitors, and customers.
- Be able to work overtime including hours before after work and weekends
- Ability to travel (US and Canadian Distribution Network Terminals)
- COVID Vaccination required for all personnel who will travel.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $68,400 - $127,100/annually. This range is estimated forSupervisor, Baltimore Terminalin Rosedale, MD. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
