Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 Department: VascularPosition Type: Full Time, 40 hours/weekSchedule: 5:30 am, 3- 12 hours shifts, coverage as needed, Limited DurationYour role with us As a Cardiac Tech at Salem Health, you will provide both direct and indirect care to patients by performing and analyzing cardiac diagnostic procedures such as 12-lead ECGs and long-term cardiac monitoring, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of critical results. You will also coordinate care with team members, maintain patient confidentiality, and contribute to departmental improvement through education, policy development, and participation in training and committees. The role also includes maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring procedures are documented and billed accurately. What you'll doPerforms and analyzes cardiac diagnostic procedures, including 12-lead ECGs and long-term monitoring (Holter/event monitors), ensuring high-quality data and timely reporting of critical values.Prepares and educates patients for procedures, verifies patient identity, and maintains accurate documentation in compliance with protocols and privacy standards.Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, performs routine cleaning, and ensures emergency and diagnostic devices are operational.Collaborates with healthcare team members to prioritize and coordinate patient care, promoting efficiency and patient safety.Contributes to departmental improvement, including staff training, policy development, committee participation, and mentoring new employees.Required qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. One year of recent experience as a cardiac technician in a cardiovascular non- invasive services department or an equivalent combination of training and experience required.
