Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a focus on the Microsoft Defender and Purview ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for executing on delivery of Microsoft related security projects in Microsoft 365 Commercial, GCC and GCCH ensuring excellence in execution and exceptional client satisfaction. You will leverage your expertise in cloud-based security, on-premises infrastructure, and relevant frameworks such as CMMC, CIS Benchmarks, etc. to drive impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 security, including Defender for Microsoft 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Active Directory, and the Purview Suite.
  • Implementation of security controls, policies, and frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, Zero Trust, MFA, FIDO, and identity governance).
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to advise clients effectively.
  • Work closely with other internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security, with a focus on Microsoft 365 Defender and Purview solutions, on-premises infrastructure experience is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 Defender and Purview features, configurations, and best practices.
  • Experience in on-premises infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server and the configuration with Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, including CMMC, DFARS, CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001 is a plus.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills over email and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Certifications (preferred):

  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
  • Any Microsoft Defender or Purview certification are a plus.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $85,100 - $161,700
