Senior Accountant | GL Payroll

Your journey as a GL Accountant specializing in payroll accounting starts here. As a GL Accountant, you will manage all aspects of payroll-related accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will be responsible for process improvements, independent problem-solving, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. We are seeking applicants with strong analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and excellent communication abilities to support our financial goals.

What you will be doing:

• Process and record all payroll-related journal entries with high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Perform timely reconciliations of all payroll-related accounts.

• Analyze payroll variances and provide detailed explanations for fluctuations.

• Identify and resolve payroll accounting discrepancies independently.

• Collaborate with HR and Payroll departments to ensure accuracy of payroll data.

• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls for payroll transactions.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Experience with payroll systems and related software.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically in payroll accounting.

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• CPA or active pursuit of certification.

• Experience with Workday and its payroll modules and reporting capabilities.

• System implementation or integration experience.
