Broad Institute
United States, Massachusetts, Cambridge
Jun 02, 2025

Description & Requirements
The Hacohen Lab at The Broad Institute is developing novel antibody discovery and engineering technologies to address unmet needs in cancer immunology, and target diverse cancer types. We are currently seeking a Senior Research Associate I to play an integral role in a basic and translational initiative to develop antibody engineering techniques to target cancer neoantigens. This Senior Research Associate will have the opportunity to work on the wet lab side of the project supporting target identification and antibody development to contribute to the next generation of targeted cancer therapeutics for pre-clinical trials.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Design and perform research to generate proteins that recognize tumor antigens.
  • Perform tissue culture and flow cytometry experiments on immune synapse activation.
  • Cytotoxicity via cell based and biologic cancer targeting molecules.
  • Construct, validate and manage plasmids for individual and library construction of antibodies.
  • Perform antibody purification and quality controls using techniques such as metal resin purification of poly-his tagged antibodies and PAGE gel analysis.
  • Perform biochemical and cell-based assays to evaluate antibody performance, such as ELISA, Western blot and pseudovirus neutralization assays.
  • Organize and accurately maintain written records of experimental procedures and data collection.
  • Contribute to preparation of manuscripts resulting from data generated in this research project.
  • Participate in lab and project related meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree with 5 years of experience in life science or bioengineering field.
