The College Technology Services at the Robinson College of Business is seeking to hire a part-time IT Support Technician (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position is responsible for the ongoing support of technology in use by Georgia State University employees in the Robinson College of Business. This involves following semi-complex instructions to provide Tier II technical support to install, uninstall, upgrade, operate, troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of computer, classroom, and networking equipment, as well as other technology in use by GSU Faculty, Staff, and Students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Installation, setup, and maintenance of computer systems, including software and hardware, on Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS, etc.
  • Resolve network-based access issues and requests (both wired and wireless)
  • Printer support (local and network).
  • Classroom and event audio-visual support.
  • Service ticket resolution using the Service Now platform.
  • Scheduling appointments with customers and ensuring satisfactory results.
  • Determine causes of computer/software/network malfunctions through evaluation, testing and resolution via modifications, repair, or external support assistance.
  • Breakdown, move and setup equipment and peripherals as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in IT support, installation, and troubleshooting environments.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Experience with enterprise tools such as Active Directory and Office 365.
  • Ability to understand and use cloud-based services.
  • Experience in higher education technology and pedagogical environments.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in PC and Mac environments.
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally.

Shift : Part-time / 29 hours/week maximum.
Salary : $17.00/hour (commensurate with experience)
